Looking down on this small town nestled between the hills around Mammoth Hot Springs looked so serene. I loved the way the clouds hung in the sky and the sun illuminated the hills on the left.
This guy was sitting in the middle of a path near the Everglades in Florida. So brightly colored against the white sand, I couldn’t pass him by.
This guy was lounging on the path up on a trail above Old Faithful.
When my husband and I travel, we like to drive so that we can see what is between here and there. This was one of those ‘between’ places. We were on our way to Yellowstone and had to drive thru northern Wyoming which brought us thru the Bighorn National Forest. If there is running water, I am sure to stop – this area was no exception.

While visiting my daughter in our Nation’s Capital we visited the National Mall on a fairly gloomy day. The sun was just peeking out of the clouds and illuminated the Washington Monument in a spectacular way. You never know when a dreary day will produce a stunning view.
In keeping with the season I’d like to share this almost red and green photo of an evergreen branch.

Reflection of domes in Yosemite. This was a lake near the famous Half Dome which at the time was shrouded in clouds. I thought this view was just as impressive as Mirror Lake which was just to our right.

It’s been too long since my last post. My part time passion has had to take a back seat for the past few months. I had set myself a schedule to post, along with other self assignments, but have only been able to accomplish a fraction of that.
Golden and red leaves against a blue sky, mix it up (almost literally) with a little white birch bark and this is the result. I know it’s not quite autumn yet, (but we are getting close) fall but couldn’t resist playing with the vivid colors.
